A rare opportunity to view original documents from the Archives of Soho, held at Archives and Heritage at the Library of Birmingham. The thousands of documents in the collection provide an insight into all elements of the business endeavours of Boulton, Watt ad their circle, as well as personal papers such as diaries, letters and notebooks. The session will start with an illustrated talk introducing Lunar Society members and providing an oversight of the vast Archives of Soho. You will then have time to look at some original material up close, including letters written by Boulton, Watt and associates as part of a selection of documents displayed in the Wolfson room.
Library of Birmingham, Wolfson Centre, Floor 4, Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2EA. The library is fully accessible.
