We are delighted to be holding the annual Boulton & Watt Lecture 2024 where our panel of experts, academics and researchers will propose the way forward for hydrogen economy technologies chaired by our Boulton & Watt 2023 speaker Professor Martin Freer, University of Birmingham.
Speakers will include Denis Hayter and Sara Walker, along with our Chair, Clive Stone.
Our panel will also consist of David Dundas, Trustee of the Lunar Society and be chaired by Professor Martin Freer.
Professor Freer said:
“The rise of interest in Hydrogen as part of the energy mix has been precipitous. Its attraction is that it can be used in transport, decarbonisation of industry and decarbonisation of transport. The West Midlands already has been pioneering through its hydrogen buses refuelled at the UK’s leading hydrogen station at Tyseley. However, hydrogen is expensive and is struggling to find its place. The 2024 Boulton and Watt Lecture will, through hearing from experts in academia and industry, explore how and where hydrogen will play a role in the delivery of net zero by 2050.”
As well as hearing from industry professionals you will also have the opportunity to network and meet like-minded individuals.
